Reports To:  Program Manager 

Salary:  $21.00-$25.00 hour 

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-6:00pm (occasional evenings and weekend) up to 40 hours 

General Description 

The Program Assistant is a key member of the Learning Community Center of North Omaha (LCCNO) program team. This role involves a diverse set of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Center. The Program Assistant greets staff and visitors, providing excellent customer service and support. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.  

Job-Specific Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the administrative and clerical aspects of PU including transportation-related functions, screening calls, responding to emails, and greeting program participants. This position is station at the front entrance to welcome guests. 

  • Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior while transporting staff and participants. 

  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle. 

  • Enter data into the database and create reports as assigned by Program Manager. 

  • Establish, update, and maintain transportation systems and procedures, including record-keeping and filing. 

  • Ensure relevant information is available and accessible for the efficient operation of the LCCNO. 

  • Lift up to 30 pounds to assist with logistical operations, such as helping in the kitchen, serving food, and providing backup support in childcare. 

  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team environment. 

  • Provide general support for program activities and other duties as assigned.

  • Attendance and Punctuality: Demonstrates punctual and reliable attendance at the assigned work location, ensuring consistency in performance. 

  • Additional Duties: Willingly undertakes other duties as assigned, demonstrating a cooperative attitude and willingness to contribute wherever needed. 

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of relevant experience. 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. 

  • Professional and positive demeanor. 

  • Ability to set priorities, follow through on tasks, and meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to work independently, with a strong commitment to teamwork. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. 

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance with a good driving record. 

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
