ADJUNCT PROFESSOR OF ANIMATION

The Animation Department at Huntington University Arizona is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach DM453 Animation Portfolio and Professional Practices for spring semester of 2024, a 3-credit course. This animation course aims to help digital media artists create a well-designed digital portfolio and professional website while providing insights into job searching, professional survival skills, and building connections within the digital media arts community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Master's degree in Animation/Illustration or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience working as an Animator/related field.
• Note: Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant work experience will be considered.
• Must have a strong personal Christian commitment and faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to serve others
• Must be committed to the mission of Huntington University as a comprehensive Christian College dedicated to educating men and women to impact our world for Christ

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS :

• College-level teaching experience.
• 2+ years work experience as an Animator.

THE ADJUNCT PROFESSOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Teaching college-level course(s) in accordance with college catalog, schedule of classes, course outlines, course syllabi, and any departmental guidelines;
• Providing quality teaching including related preparation and grading;
• Providing class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the division office as requested;
• Maintaining accurate records of students and complete forms as required;
• Prompting punctual communication with students, faculty, and staff;
• Performing other related duties as assigned and/or required.

Work Schedule: This course meets once per week.
