We're looking for a tech-savvy and hardworking Shop Mechanic to be an integral part of our team. In this role, you will work closely with the management team to create, & maintain efficient shop procedures. You will also oversee many jobs that require immediate attention. Please keep in mind it is a very hands-on position as we are a small shop. You will be participating in repair and maintenance.  Fleet Maintenance is a must with this position. 

Duties:

  • Keep the shop clean and well organized.
  • Evaluate the shop's performance & adjust improve efficiency.
  • Review Fleet maintenance & ensure it is all up to date.
  • Complete all repairs in a timely manner to ensure field operations are kept moving.
  • Assist with keeping the yard in order.
  • Work with Vendors & the office maintain inventory
    • Order parts & ensure commonly used parts are always on hand


The ideal candidate will be able to:
  • Effectively communicate through both written and verbal communications in English.
  • Successfully navigate and manage fleet software.
  • Independently troubleshoot problems on equipment and vehicles.
  • Manage their time effectively to drive efficiently.
  • Intuitively prioritize work according to field operations need.
  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objects of at least 50 pounds.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights as required.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for periods of time.
  • Pass DOT pre-employment Drug Test*
  • Always Maintain a Valid Driver’s License

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation

Schedule:

A normal work week will consist of a five (5) day week, Monday thru Friday.
  • No weekends
  • Some travel may be required

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

License/Certification
Work Location: In person

Every employee of Underground Solutions, Inc. must pass the DOT pre-employment Drug Test. Random testing throughout the year is possible in all positions. A valid Drivers License must be held at all times.
