At Metawood, Inc. we are complete opening specialists and provide solutions to various common problems in the commercial door and hardware industry. We are seeking a hollow metal repair tech to work in the commercial door and hardware industry performing hollow metal door and frame repairs. Experience in the door and hardware is desired, and experience welding is a must. Weekly travel is required, with expenses paid by the company. Pay depends on experience. There will be opportunities to work in-shop at our location in Morganton as well.
Metawood, Inc. offers PTO, 10 paid holidays, and mileage bonus. After one year of employment, we offer participation in our retirement plan and a quarterly bonus.
Repair Tech 1
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be willing to travel out of town.
Must possess a valid NCDL and at least one other form of identification per I-9 acceptable documents instructions.
Experience in the door & hardware industry preferred, but not required.
Operates powered equipment such as drills, blowtorches, sanders, grinders, welders.
Able to make repairs on wood and/or hollow metal doors and frames with guidance.
Able to install doors and finish hardware with guidance.
Able to lift 80 lbs.
Must possess the following skills: Strength & stamina, building & mechanical knowledge, ability to measure and read a tape measure, manual dexterity, coordination, math & language literacy, written & oral communication, critical reasoning skills, willingness to learn, organization.
Repair Tech 2
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
