POSITION SUMMARY
The Facility Maintenance Team Lead will assist the Facility Maintenance Manager with the daily upkeep of the facility's buildings and grounds. This position will generally involve the performance of manual tasks requiring skilled or special knowledge acquired through on-the-job training or experience. The Facility Maintenance Team Lead will provide supervision of and provide assistance to team members in the completion of various tasks and day-to-day maintenance duties as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Facility Maintenance Tasks
- Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility
- Inventory, organize, and stock up closets, toolboxes and maintenance areas
- Coordinate cleaning schedule around daily activities
- Manage utilities (lights, temperature controls, heaters, etc.)
- Maintain and repair playing surfaces
- Schedule and perform maintenance on facility equipment
Grounds Maintenance
- Monitor overall appearance and cleanliness of the office, restrooms and concession buildings
- Coordinate maintenance and repair work with directors and contractors to avoid conflicts and maximize usage of courts
- Monitor all walkways and flower beds and keep clear of weeds, grass, trash, water, ice, etc.
- Develop annual court maintenance plan/log, including but not limited to the repairing/cleaning
- Operate and maintain sports equipment
- Maintain all trees, shrubbery and flower beds
- Operate machinery to include but not limited to all equipment
- Repair irrigation heads and lines as needed
- Clean and maintain parking lot
- Keep inventory of supplies and equipment as well as maintenance logs
- Make sure all paperwork is up to date
- Complete special projects and daily assignments as directed by Director of Operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- General knowledge of maintenance, janitorial & landscaping
- Understand and follow both oral and written instructions
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective time management skills
- Prior experience using maintenance equipment and procedures
- Candidate must be available and willing to work long hours and varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess or ability to obtain a valid Driver's License
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Will be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Will be required to work in all weather conditions
- Will be required to paint, clean equipment, and safely handle chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms
- Will be required to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
- Will be required to perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve but are not limited to the following activities: semi reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back
- Ability to navigate around the facility for long periods of time
- Ability to climb elevated areas to complete tasks (i.e. lift for scoreboards, etc.)
- Facility has intermittent noise
