The Opportunity

The Maintenance Technician provides support to the Maintenance Team in all aspects of preventive and routine maintenance in order to keep The Episcopal Academy campus both well-presented and in good operational condition. The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, light plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC service, etc.

Additional Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A clean driving record and ability to meet federal and state driving standards.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Ability to kneel and climb, withstand exposure to noise and inclement weather.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

What You'll Do

Additional roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform light maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Maintain heating, cooling, and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, conduct repairs, etc.)
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (e.g. painting, carpentry etc.)
  • Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Change HVAC filters based on our preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Assist with co-workers, contractors, and customer queries.
  • Snow removal is mandatory and may cause a change to your schedule.
  • Work special events such as, but not exclusive to, Commencement, Alumni Weekend, and EA/HAV/AIS Day.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned (may include, but are not exclusive to, changing light bulbs, painting, event set-up/break down, traffic duties, etc.)
