Kimberton Whole Foods Commissary Kitchen is hiring a part-time Receiver

Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 8:30am-5:00pm. Availability on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Pay: $16-$18 hourly to start.

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Please note - The location listed for this position is not the Downingtown retail store location. This is the KWF Distribution Center/Commissary Kitchen. Please see the address listed below.

Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked.


Daily Operations:

  • Receives and stocks deliveries for busy Commissary Kitchen. Inspects the condition of fresh product upon arrival and reports any discrepancies. Cross checks items with invoice to ensure correct delivery.
  • Scan invoices to our Invoice Processing Team.
  • Process credits with vendors via order portals and communicating via phone.
  • Light prep and some utility responsibilities: dishes, kitchen cleanliness, portioning, and bagging of soup.
  • Seasons and processes poultry upon arrival.
  • Maintain organization of the walk-in refrigerator and walk-in freezer by dating rotating product using first in first out approach.
  • Coordinates donation items with manager.
  • Assists Commissary Manager with inventory stock and places vendor orders.

Requirements:

Physical Capabilities:

  • Full Sense Range (Vision, Hearing, and Sense of Smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color and smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with customers and co-workers.
  • Lifting, Gripping and Carrying Objects – Up to 50 to 75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools, and other products.
  • Stooping, Squatting, and Kneeling – Stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
  • Walking – Short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
  • Standing – Prolonged standing.
  • Work Environment – Movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking/standing) rather than sedentary (sitting).
  • Climate – Ability to work in cold environments (cooler, freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
