Job Title: Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) - Hemodialysis

Department: Hemodialysis Unit
Critical Need: Clinical Critical

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hemodialysis Unit as a Dialysis RN. In this role, you will provide specialized care to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and a passion for improving the lives of patients with kidney disease.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
  • Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor vital signs and assess patient status before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
  • Perform dialysis procedures including cannulation, initiation, monitoring, and termination of treatments.
  • Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, dialysis procedures, and self-care techniques.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff in the dialysis unit.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hemodialysis setting preferred.
  • Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
