DFS originates two main loan products – a short term bridge loan for fix & flip investors, and a long-term rental loan for landlords growing their rental portfolios. DFS is thriving in the current competitive environment and shows aggressive quarterly growth. Our current origination volume is $70MM per month. DFS is looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Closer to join our growing team.

Seeking a meticulous and experienced Mortgage Closer. As a Mortgage Closer specializing in Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) loans for a hard money lender, you will be responsible for taking on files once they are handed off by the processor, ensuring that all closing documents are accurate and complete, and facilitating the final stages of the loan closing process. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and accurate closing of DSCR loans.

In This Role You Will

• File Review: Take over files from processors and review all documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy, specifically focusing on DSCR loan requirements and guidelines.
• Document Preparation: Prepare and organize all necessary closing documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordination: Coordinate closing schedules with borrowers, title companies, attorneys, and other relevant parties.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the closing documents promptly.
• Compliance: Ensure all closing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations specific to DSCR loans.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all individuals  throughout the closing process.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients, addressing inquiries and providing updates on the closing status.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in mortgage closing, preferably within the hard money lending sector and with a focus on DSCR loans.
• Understanding of mortgage documents, closing procedures, and regulatory requirements specific to DSCR.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and preparing documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various parties.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in using mortgage processing software and other relevant computer applications
