**Job Summary:**
The Lighting Design Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers and external sales personnel seeking lighting design assistance and support for projects. This role entails guiding customers through the lighting quotation process and providing effective assistance.

**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and present detailed lighting designs, including quotations, drawings, cut sheets, ROI calculations, and potential utility rebates.
- Assist Account Managers in finalizing orders for designated accounts.
- Secure lighting re-design opportunities for unassigned accounts.
- Compile and generate lighting job quotes.
- Identify appropriate vendors/reps for projects and communicate requests and formal quotes accordingly.
- Review representative quotes and exceptions, ensuring alignment with fixture schedules/requirements.
- Accurately input all formal quotes, considering fixture schedule requirements.
- Collaborate with external sales personnel to determine discounts and final markups.
- Maintain the department's quotation log.
- Input project details into the quotes system upon receipt for submission.
- Attend product meetings, seminars, and training sessions to enhance expertise.
- Provide guidance on lighting product selection for various construction projects.
- Calculate lighting Bills of Material from blueprints/specifications.
- Negotiate pricing with lighting manufacturers and customers.
- Participate in team meetings to propose solutions that meet client needs.
- Serve as a technical lighting resource within the branch and mentor the sales team.
- Analyze lighting quotations data to identify success or failure patterns.
- Effectively manage changes and carry out additional assigned tasks efficiently.

**Qualifications:**
- Preferably a college degree; alternatively, a high school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience in lighting-related roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of lighting products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a responsive and courteous demeanor.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient in task prioritization and accurate mathematical calculations.
- Willingness to assist others as required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

**Physical Requirements:**
- Primarily a sedentary role (75%).
- Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 lbs.
- Work conducted in a standard office environment.
