Lead Kennel

We are looking for a Resort Supervisor

The Resort supervisors’ main goal is to maintain the safety and wellbeing of all the animals in our facility. An ideal candidate would have strong leadership and customer service skills, be able to collaborate and works side by side with other Resort supervisors and Hospital leadership.

The specific Duties of a Resort supervisor include, but are not limited to:

• Interviewing potential Resort Attendants
• Training of new employees
• Lead shifts, ensure all staff are on target to finish their tasks in a timely manner.
• Help to create the employee schedule.
• Medicating pets who need medication.
• Communicating with owners regarding their pets stay and/or any medical concerns,
• Handling potentially aggressive pets
• Promoting a positive work environment
• Handling employee conflicts
• Oversee cleanliness of kennel area and cattery and help with basic housekeeping.
• Feeding, watering, and walking pets
• Intake of special needs pets
• Complete daily checks of all pets and room cards
• Attend Leadership meetings and conduct routine Resort meetings.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in animal care or other related fields
• Passion to help and treat animals
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
