UI/UX Designer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces and experiences, backed by comprehensive user research and testing. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, a strong portfolio of UX/UI work, and the ability to translate user needs into elegant design solutions in a B2B company.  This position is an onsite position located in our corporate office in LaVergne, TN.  

Key Responsibilities: 
User Research:

• Conduct user research through various methods including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies. 

• Analyze user feedback and behavior to identify pain points and areas for improvement. 

• Develop user personas, journey maps, and scenarios to inform design decisions.

UI/UX Design: 

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that effectively communicate design ideas. 

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with business goals. 

• Apply best practices in UX design to ensure usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction. 

• UI Design and interaction design is a huge plus, understanding how responsive design works, and designing for various devices and screen sizes. 

Usability Testing and Iteration: 

• Recruit, plan and conduct in person usability tests to gather feedback on design prototypes. 

• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and test results. 

• Document findings and present insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making. 

​​​​​​​Collaboration and Communication: 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including internal and external developers, product managers, and the marketing to deliver cohesive and effective design solutions. 

• Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders through presentations and detailed documentation. 

• Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design processes. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design and research. 

• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX and UI design projects. 

• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma  

• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. 

• Experience with usability testing, user research, and data analysis. 

• Excellent communication, presentation, socialization and collaboration skills. 

• Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. 

• Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics. 

Preferred Skills: 

• UI Design and interaction design is a huge plus  

• Self Driven and comfortable working as a solo UI/UX designer 

• Creative mindset, willing to think divergently and aloud  

• Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines. 

• Understanding of information architecture and content strategy. 

• B2B eccommerce / business experience 

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications 

• Desire to learn about the automotive service industry.
