ExpressPoint Technology Services, Inc., a distributor of a broad range of technology products and depot maintenance services, has a full-time opportunity for a Team Lead within our Receiving department. The Team Lead is responsible for leading & coaching employees and monitoring workflow within the inbound area. The team lead is also responsible for coordination of the assigned team members and helps with the accuracy of receipts of products to internal and external customers. Must be flexible to move, plan and execute within the logistics department on a daily basis as dictated by the workflow. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. This position requires strong computer skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable using web-based warehouse management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately and efficiently receives inbound shipments within WMS
- Maintains a leveled flow of the supply chain through the daily processes to meet customer expectations
- Promote, develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Supports the operation with timely and accurate replenishment of required materials
- Applies documented process to daily procedures
- Maintains and supports the assigned team to perform with high standards of quality and productivity
- Work with others to train or mentor when required
- Reports any discrepancy in the process that could lead to a business risk affecting internal and external customers
- Able to perform and maintain accurate and timely data to hit Key Operational Metrics
- Attends meetings and assist in developing in a team environment Continuous Improvement
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisor or manager
- Interfaces with other team leaders, supervisors, managers and other departments to investigate and resolve issues in a professional manner
- Determines customer requirements and establish effective processes to ensure requirements are met
- Track material as required
Education
- High School Diploma or GED is required
Experience
- One to three years related experience
- Minimum one year industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Gathers and analyzes information skillfully
- Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views
- Consistently at work and on time
