About the Position:
Bliss is hiring We are looking for the perfect addition to our busy team in our Portland, Maine location. This is a full-time retail position (36-40 hours per week) with room to grow. Nestled in the heart of Portland’s historic Old Port, Bliss offers women beautiful wardrobe essentials that elevate their everyday life. Bliss exists to empower women to feel confident, stylish, and uniquely themselves. Our storefront is bustling, and we need retail associates with the energy and motivation to thrive in our boutique Working harmoniously as a team is essential, as is making everyone who enters the store feel comfortable and welcome.
The full-time retail sales associate would be part of an outgoing, self-motivated, team-orientated (and coffee-loving) group. Days are spent multitasking: assisting customers with warmth and assertiveness and keeping the store bright and beautiful. A love of clothing and customer service are key--we are proud of the brands we carry, and we love working with the women who wear them.

About Bliss:
In 2002, Angela and John Foddrill founded Bliss in the heart of Portland, Maine. As former MECA students with backgrounds in art, the two developed an eye for clothing that was as functional as it was beautiful and shared a passion for creating aesthetically minded spaces for joyful shopping. Today, Bliss has three brick-and-mortar locations; in Kennebunk, Maine, Portland, Maine, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, as well as a robust online store that ships across the country. Bliss is rooted in the idea that everyday wear should be special, high-quality, long-lasting, beautiful, and comfortable. Featuring premium clothing and accessory brands like CP Shades, Frank & Eileen, Xirena, Trovata, Prairie Underground, Clare V, Velvet, Frye, Demylee, Épice, and more, Bliss is one of New England's most sought-after women’s clothing boutiques, season after season. With deep expertise in denim, Bliss offers a wide variety of brands like AG Adriano Goldschmied, Edwin, AMO, AGOLDE, Citizens of Humanity, Mother, and more. Our staff members are well-versed in denim and ready to share their know-how in all things jeans, from selection and fit to styling and care.

Responsibilities:

  • Opening & Closing Store
  • Working One-on-One with Customers
  • Using POS System to Complete Transactions
  • Unloading and Merchandising Products
  • Maintaining Inventory
