Are you a skilled auto mechanic ready to make a difference? TURN Community Services is looking for a dedicated full-time Fleet Mechanic to join our team throughout Utah. The schedule will be full-time - 30 hours/week. It will require travel to program sites throughout the state. Maintenance can be organized in such a matter as to minimize the need for travel. When no preventive maintenance is scheduled, the work will be determined by the Fleet Manager.

THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1+ year(s) of experience as an auto mechanic
  • Valid driver's license, current motor vehicle insurance, and a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform oil changes and minor repairs onsite
  • Capability to maintain lifts, ramps, and other accessibility devices on vehicles
  • Must obtain a Braun Lift Certificate (support may be provided to obtain Braun Lift Certificate if not already certified)
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Ride Pilot Lite, and other computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working or interacting with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS FLEET MECHANIC

As a Fleet Mechanic, you will start your day by coordinating with the Fleet Manager and program directors to determine the day's priorities. You will travel to different program sites across Utah, performing preventive maintenance such as oil changes, lift maintenance, and minor repairs on our diverse fleet. Your role will involve installing trackers and cameras, ensuring all vehicles meet safety standards. Interacting with program staff and the individuals we support, you will represent TURN Community Services with professionalism and care.

Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities.
