Breakfast Supervisor

Position Summary:
Extend the welcome and courtesies of the Dancing Bear Aspen to guests and Owners during breakfast service. Supervise and assist with all aspects of breakfast food preparation, planning, set-up, service, and clean-up. Oversee all other food related services, including welcome amenities, employee meal, snack program and special events. This is a guest facing position in an open service area, adherence to grooming policies, standards of service and maintenance of a clean work area are required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Responsible for cookie and snack program, welcome amenities, coordinating staff meals and special events. This includes the weekly welcome reception, New Year's Eve and July 4th events.
- Responsible for food ordering, inventory, storage, product quality, and overall cleanliness of work and storage areas.
- Supervise and train breakfast attendants and cooks, ensuring conduct, service and quality standards are maintained consistently.
- Maintain food and labor costs within the DBA annual budget. Reviewing, and coding invoices and submitting to accounting.
- Assist with special events, food and beverage offerings and projects as requested by the General Manager.
- Plan and execute Saturday Welcome Receptions for Dancing Bear Owners.
- Assist with set-up, break-down and replenishing buffet throughout service.
- Assist with clearing tables and keeping area clean and organized, including cleaning off chair seats and floors.
- Washing and storing all cookware daily, maintaining cleanliness in the two cooking spaces.
- Washing and polishing dishes and glassware.
- Ensuring a crisp, luxurious presentation throughout the Dancing Bear Roof lounge and deck.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the roof terrace, prep kitchen and storage areas.
- Assist with daily cleaning, including trash removal.
- Ensuring a crisp, luxurious presentation throughout the Dancing Bear Roof Terrace, EDR and Elevators.
- Being a gracious host to all owners and guests staying at Dancing Bear Aspen, being welcoming, proactive, anticipating their needs and building rapport with guests during any conversation.
- Provide professional, personalized services to each owner/guest, remembering preferences and names.
Education & Knowledge:
Minimum two-years culinary supervisory experience required. Excellent use of the English language.
Working Conditions:
Continuous standing/walking. Lifting and carrying (up to50 lbs.). Occasional stooping, crouching, and reaching.
During high season, the Breakfast Supervisor is expected to work five – six shifts/week, 30 – 36 hours/week.
Morning shift starting at 6:00 am or as scheduled.
Housing:
On-site employee housing available for single person, no smoking, no pets.
