Music Teacher

Buxmont Academy is seeking a dynamic Music Teacher to join our team this fall at our Tatamy Creek campus in Easton, PA.If you are a music teacher who enjoys working with at-risk students, has excellent interpersonal skills, and relishes new experiences and learning, this position is for you.

Buxmont Academy has six campuses in southeastern PA and uses restorative practices to encourage students grades 7 throught 12 to grow academically and emotionally. Our teachers, counselors, and support staff work together to build a healthy community environment for our students.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, Fridays until 2:30pm. Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree or higher level of education, and either PA music certification or the ability to obtain certification.We welcome qualified candidates who are interested in becoming teachers. We also welcome retired teachers who miss being in the classroom

Required Skills/Abilities for the music teacher role:

• Desire to teach secondary school-aged students and ability to adapt to their developmental status.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high stress situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The capacity to work effectively both independently and with a team.
• Proficient computer skills.
