Job Title: Field Pipefitter

Location: Lansing, MI

Pay Rate: $20/hour - $30/hour


Job Description:


•Install HVAC piping systems, including chilled water, hot water, steam, and gas lines, according to specifications and blueprints.

•Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, ensuring proper alignment and connection.

•Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC piping systems, identifying and troubleshooting issues to ensure efficient operation.

•Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of HVAC piping systems and materials required for field projects.

•Measure and cut pipe to required lengths, threading and bending pipe as necessary using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.

•Utilize welding, soldering, and brazing techniques to join pipes and ensure leak-free connections.

•Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety and industry standards.

•Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment on job sites.

•Work collaboratively with other team members, including HVAC technicians, project managers, and contractors, to ensure project timelines and goals are met.


Qualifications:


•Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pipefitter in the HVAC industry.

•Proficiency in installing, assembling, and maintaining HVAC piping systems.

•Strong understanding of HVAC systems, piping layouts, and building codes.

•Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pipefitting machinery.

•Skilled in welding, soldering, and brazing techniques.

•Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

•Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various field conditions.

•Strong communication and teamwork skills.

•Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
