T&M is currently seeking Geologist / Hydrogeologist for our Columbus, OH location. This position will assist environmental engineers and project managers with multi-disciplinary environmental investigations / remediations, & environmental compliance projects. Opportunity to work on and support growing backlog of industrial manufacturing sites, CERCLA / RCRA facilities, Federal, State, and local client sites.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leading environmental field sampling investigations including soil, groundwater, and fugitive air emissions.
  • Developing work plans, technical approaches, and budget for projects.
  • Interpretation of geological and hydrogeological data and development of groundwater maps.
  • Defining source locations and assessing remediation alternatives.
  • Data management and evaluation.
  • Drilling oversight and well installation / development.
  • Preparation of procedures for drilling and soil sampling programs, including direct-push, auger, rotosonic, and rotary methods.
  • Development of hydrogeologic investigations, including well placement and design, installation methods, and sampling plans.
  • Lead and manage Vapor Intrusion Investigations including indoor air sampling and sub slab vapor sampling.
  • Plan and execute field tasks and oversee junior staff.
  • Technical writing including specification development and report preparation.
  • Prepare site-specific health and safety plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science from an accredited institution
  • 7+ years of hydrogeology experience; 5 years of consulting experience, preferred.
  • Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) or State-licensed PG preferred.
  • Experience with GIS platforms preferred.
  • Current 40 HOUR OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred.
  • Field investigation experience with air, soil and groundwater sampling.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills and willingness to learn.
  • Candidates must be adept at working collaboratively with building strong working relationships with our clients and T&M team members.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Availability for limited travel as dictated by projects and opportunities.
