Hourly Range: $21.25 - $26.50.
This position is located at our Compton facility.

The Shipping Warehouse Packer I/II moves/packs/loads finished goods material for outbound shipment with required identification. The incumbent is licensed to operate all types of material handling equipment such as forklift, job crane, grade-all forklift, pallet jack, and side loader in all capacities. The incumbent may also be required to use specialized material handling equipment such as modular tubs and racks.
Core responsibilities include:
· Follow direction of the acting superior, lead man, and/or supervisor
· Responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of the work-center
· Responsible for knowing and achieving daily standard production and efficiency goals
· Responsible for knowing and achieving scrap goals
· Maintain clean and safe working environment; embrace a clean as you go policy
· Learn the basic skills of the helper position which include but are not limited to:
· Using material handling equipment on a daily basis under supervision.
· Maintain said equipment via daily equipment checklists and report issues to a supervisor
· Maneuver vehicles safely in congested areas
· Operates jib cranes, saws, staple guns, and other production equipment to secure or label containers under supervision
· Plastic wrap, plastic band, and secures and labels containers for shipping purposes
· Replenishes packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, labels, boxes, cartons, and glue
· Load/unload pallets or racks physically by hand or with job crane under supervision
· Stack or take down racks safely as needed
· Inspects and stores pallets, tubs, boxes, modular racks etc. when not being used
· Executes packing processes in accordance to shop floor instructions and process procedures under supervision
· Begin to understand how to clearly identify parts, and maintains clear traceability on serial numbers and piece counts on deliveries being packed
· Assist on properly communicating discrepancies related to finished goods
· Provide assistance to the Shipping Material Handlers
Additional responsibilities include:

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must:
· Be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements
· Be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Experience/Education:
· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
· Minimum 90 days introductory period.
