Our client is a prominent law firm with multiple offices across Iowa, including Council Bluffs, Carroll, Clarinda, Harlan, Oakland, Onawa, and Treynor. Their Council Bluffs office is currently seeking a full-time and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dedicated team.   • Pay starting at $41,000 annually.
  • Direct Hire opportunity
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan.
  • 401(k) plan with contributions from partners after one year.
  • Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Your New Role as the legal assistant:
  • Drafting estate planning, estate, and trust documents for attorney review.
  • Preparing and filing probate documents.
  • Confidently interacting with clients, colleagues, and attorneys.
Your Experience as the legal assistant:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Required).
  • Paralegal experience (Preferred), with at least 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience in estate planning and probate work (Preferred), with at least 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Iowa estate planning and probate processes.
  • Ability to handle some Nebraska cases related to Iowa near Council Bluffs.
