The Mailroom Clerk's main responsibility is to organize and distribute incoming and outgoing mail for the organization and interdepartmentally. This includes receiving mail from postal carrier, sorting and distributing while also preparing daily outgoing mail. Additionally, the mailroom Clerk keeps supplies stocked in the mail and copy room. Various clerical duties are performed including copying, collating, stapling, and printing documents for various programs, departments, and events.

Starting pay at $12.88 - $14.42 per hour.

Part-time position 20 hours per week.

0.5 FTE - Day shift.

    • Minimum six months experience in mailroom preferred.
    • Experience in preparing, collating, and organizing printed materials

    • Good communication and attention to detail.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sort and collate incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Weigh mail to determine the correct postage using automated postage machine.
  • Open mail addressed to the office and discard junk mail.
  • Time/date stamp all incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Deliver mail to appropriate department and location-based mailboxes for distribution.
  • Partner with transportation program to coordinate inter-office mail delivery to off-site locations.
  • Complete change of address and mail hold forms.
  • Operate multi-function printing devices.
  • Operate paper folding machinery.
  • Keep mail and copy room supplied stocked and maintain neat and cleanly environment

  • Assist departments with printing, collating, stapling, and other tasks associated with organizational and departmental functions.
