Quality Assurance Technician

- Implement day-to-day work including review line set up paperwork according to schedule, check on the set up of lines such as bottles, date code, customer supply or printed labels at the beginning of the shift and/or during changeover to ensure correct set-up.
- Provide technical expertise to track products from start to finish and develop corrective actions when needed.
- Communicate with QA manager or other department managers when non-compliance is found.
- Inspect the product coming off the lines for meeting all specifications and attributes.
- Document the inspection results online pack out sheet and QA daily worklist.
- Assist in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF System.
- Assist QA Department on company-wide assigned QA tasks after training.
- Monitor and coach proper GMP's.
- At least one year's experience working in a quality assurance role and working in a fast-paced production environment in a quality assurance role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with SQF Standards and GMP
- Attention to detail and enjoy learning and improving food safety.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure effective communication verbally and written.
- Able to work with urgency when the situation demands, and then slow and methodical when the situation changes.
- Receptive to both technical and behavioral training.
