Duties/Responsibilities:

  • After-school and evening hours would be expected throughout the school-year. Day hours are available throughout the summer months. Weekends are also available, if desired.

  • Must be comfortable working with children and their families in their home

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance as you will be driving to client homes

  • Provide skill-building interventions to clients and their families.

  • Accurately fill out and maintain client-related paperwork.

  • Modify intervention activities or approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of skill-based interventions for each client of their identified problems and moving towards defined goals.

  • Complete accurate notes in a timely manner.

  • Be aware of expiring clients and work collaboratively to get them scheduled for re-assessment within the appropriate time frame to avoid a lapse in services.

  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure collaborative care approaches when deemed necessary.

  • Refer clients or family members to therapy or other mental health services as necessary.

  • Act as client advocates to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.

  • Maintain professionalism by strict adherence to confidentiality, HIPAA, and the Ethics Policy.

  • Attend staff meetings and supervision to address administrative issues and receive case consultation. 4 hours per month required

  • Check email daily and communicate timely and effectively with the supervisor.

  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • A master’s degree in social work, human services, drug and alcohol, education, counseling, psychology, or criminal justice, or A bachelor’s degree in human behavioral science which includes 30 semester or 45 quarter hours either in development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques, such as social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development is required

  • Additional training may be required depending on background and experience

  • Previous experience working with neurodiversed children in a mental health setting preferred

  • Experience providing behavioral interventions preferred
