Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service is looking for a Boilermaker to join our team in Grandview, MO. The Boilermaker will perform and lead the welding of code and non-code items/structures and provide planned and emergency services to Watertube, Firetube and auxiliary support equipment. Job Location: Grandview, MO

Signing Bonus Details:

• Qualified Tech with +5 years of relevant boiler experience will receive a $5000 signing bonus ($3000 paid upon hire, $2000 paid after 90 days)

Essential functions:

• Responsible for performing welding tasks – ASME code and standard welds.
• Ability, aptitude, and desire to learn boiler mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct routine boiler PM and repair tasks.
• Daily local travel with some overnight stays on more complex projects
• Other duties as assigned. 

Basic Requirements:

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent minimum. Technical school a plus. 

Experience:

• Must be able to pass an ASME certified 6G Ability to read blueprints, engineered drawings, and/or electrical schematics. Basic mechanical and pipefitting skills. Must have a valid driver’s license.  

Travel Requirements:

• Able to travel up to 40-50% of the time when needed. Daily local travel to customer sites.

Physical Skill & Effort:

Able to lift 50 pounds. Able to work long hours in a physical role.

Working Conditions and Hazards:

Able to work in confined and elevated areas.  Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
