Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks assigned by the line supervisor, focusing on daily labor, running equipment, and following written instructions. This role involves working within a team to remanufacture mechatronic products using disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, assembly, and testing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general labor tasks as assigned by the line supervisor.
  • Participate in the remanufacturing of mechatronic products by following established work instructions.
  • Operate multiple assembly stations during a single shift through cross-training.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality procedures, company policies, and guidelines.
  • Assist in on-the-job training for new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with Eaton's Quality systems (ISO 9001) and Environmental system (ISO 14000).
  • Inspect products for quality acceptance and perform quality checks, ensuring standards are met.
  • Work a reasonable amount of overtime, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • Maintain work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping and 5S efforts.
  • Perform lean activities and participate in identifying process improvements through teams and systems (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S+, standardized work, TPM, RIEs).
  • Perform minor and preventative maintenance in assigned workstations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly from floor to waist and periodically lift up to 50 lbs. from waist to shoulder.
  • Ability to stand for up to 9 hours with scheduled breaks.
  • Capability to stand, twist, bend, squat, and stoop.

Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow written instructions.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
