OB Technician

At NMC Health, we are proud to set an award-winning standard for healthcare and are in need of an OB Technician for our Family Birth Center Department. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care to patients which includes the comprehensive assessment of patient family needs, planning, coordination, teaching, counseling, and direct physical care. As an OB Technician you will use your dedication and compassion to be a vital link between our patients. our nurses and other facility staff. Additionally, you will help with setting up for deliveries, answering call lights, bili/PKU draws, stocking, setting up for procedures, birth certificates, and delivering care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups every day. Lastly, but just as important, your valuable skills in independent decision making will be needed to help discern what is in the best interest of the patient/family. Other functions/competencies of this role may include unit clerk, monitor technician, general clerical activities and basic nursing procedures.

This is a FT or PT night shift position (3pm-3am)

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of nurse assistant schooling preferred
  
• 1-year medical experience

Licensure, Registration or Certification:

• Current certification in CPR/Basic Life Support preferred
