Greenfield, United States Stoneleigh-Burnham School Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

Stoneleigh-Burnham School, an independent girls’ boarding and day school for grades 7-12, seeks an experienced, dynamic full-time Teaching Fellow in the visual and/or performing arts for the 2024- 2025 school year, effective August 2024, with the possibility to extend for a second year. All Teaching Fellows are supported by a full-time SBS faculty mentor as they learn to employ SBS’s unique teaching pedagogy from Middle School (grades 7 & 8) to Upper School (grades 9-12), understand the rigors of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme curriculum, learn the opportunities and advantages of a girls’ school education, and practice balancing the combined academic and co-curricular responsibilities of a vibrant boarding and day school. Our mission centers around helping our students discover and use their authentic voices. Faculty who thrive at SBS are collaborative and dynamic colleagues who are excited by professional growth and excellence in teaching, deeply passionate about education, and committed to fostering an inclusive community.

  • Supervise co-curricular activities (e.g. coaching, directing, advising clubs, managing community service activities, etc.)
  • Other responsibilities may include: serving on committees, participating in the design and execution of weekend activities, supporting the Director of the Learning Center and SBS’s Academic Skills Program, supporting the Admissions Department, and acting as a houseparent
  • Residential duty and campus housing is a possibility for the right candidate
