SITE SANTA FE is a non-profit contemporary arts organization based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Since its founding in 1995, SITE SANTA FE has presented 11 biennials, more than 130
contemporary art exhibitions, and works by hundreds of emerging and established artists from

Summary
The Archival Fellow is a key member of SITE SANTA FE’s External Affairs Department who will
research, develop, and build a comprehensive, public-facing archive to ensure SITE SANTA FE’s
30-year-old exhibition record and related program is engaging and accessible to scholars,
museum professionals, students, educators, and the general public.
The Archival Fellow is a two-year, grant-funded position that reports to the Director of External
Affairs, works closely with the Digital Narrative Producer and Digital Assets Coordinator, and
interfaces with other departments.
Responsibilities
- Compile, research, and assess SITE SANTA FE’s full documentation (both digital and
physical) of its 30-year exhibition records, including related curricula, education
programming, writing, events, press, artist talks, and other resources.
- Develop and present an organizational structure, system, and appropriate metadata for
SITE SANTA FE’s archive for both internal and external use.
- Research and propose a public-facing content management system to host SITE SANTA
FE’s archival materials.
- Research best practices, develop a plan, and facilitate the digitization of all records,
including updating old-format recordings or images.
- Develop, present, and train relevant staff on metadata, archival systems, labeling, and
tagging protocols to be used with digital assets moving forward.
- Work with External Affairs staff and web design team to determine how the archive can
be successfully, sustainably, and engagingly integrated into sitesantafe.org, with the
goal of driving more user journeys through archival content.

Qualifications
1. 3 years of experience in library science, archival work, content management, databases,
Data Management Systems, and/or developing organization systems for large quantities
of data required
2. Rigorous organizational abilities, with excellent editing skills and attention to detail
3. Proven experience managing projects, working independently, and taking initiative
4. Proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a
collaborative work environment
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well
6. Ability to conduct adequate research
7. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Gmail, Google Docs, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
required; experience with photo and video editing preferred
