On-The-Go Fleet Services is looking for a skilled full-time Diesel Field Mechanic to join our Gastonia, NC-based team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A DIESEL FIELD MECHANIC

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair
  • Solid mechanical knowledge foundation with expertise in electrical diagnostics, wiring, suspension, brakes, DOT inspections, and welding
  • Your own set of tools
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to obtain a Class A CDL
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Professional and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain safe service truck and work environment
  • Schedule flexibility

YOUR NEW ROLE AS OUR DIESEL FIELD MECHANIC

This full-time position as a mobile technician operates on a Monday-to-Friday schedule, with occasional requirements for overtime and weekend availability as needed.

As a Diesel Field Mechanic, you're integral to our mobile operations, specializing in trucks and equipment. Your day involves applying technical expertise and adept problem-solving skills. You diagnose and repair diesel truck engines and tractor-trailers, addressing electrical issues, wiring complexities, suspension adjustments, brake inspections, DOT requirements, and welding tasks. Your practical approach ensures fleet efficiency. This role in truck repair offers opportunities to demonstrate your abilities, vital for maintaining our diverse vehicle fleet's smooth operation.
