Ironworker/Welder

• 1st shift, 6a-7a start

• Unloads, shakes out, and organizes steel materials
• Erects steel columns, beams, and bar joist
• Installs materials efficiently while meeting acceptable job specific tolerances
• Welds and/or bolts connections per details
• Installs miscellaneous structural steel including kicker brace, support channel, hangers, posts, etc.
• Welds moment connections
• Bolts aligned structural-steel members in position for permanent bolting or welding into place
• Installs bridging in bar joist
• Erects steel stairs stringer, metal pans, guardrail, and handrail
• Installs ladders, railings, grating, and other miscellaneous steel
• Provides proper signaling to equipment operators
• Cuts and welds steel using torches and welding equipment
• Adheres to the company safety policies to create a safe work environment
• Ability to work at heights safely and without fear
• Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid, and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to read specifications and blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
• Rigging experience required
• Mechanical ability to perform millwright type functions required
• Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that
• provides the desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics to perform duties of the role
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal
• instructions
• Excellent communication skills
