Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVaried Part Time M-S 7A-7PVaried Full Time MON-SAT 7-7Day Full Time Monday-Friday 9am-5pmPosition Summary:Under the direction of the radiology administrator or designee, is responsible for communication, registration and scheduling for various radiology procedures. To perform all phases of clerical duties including receiving and logging of patients information, scheduling, filing typing, transport, answering phones, and assisting as backup as needed in the radiology department.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include the Following:1. Understands and adheres to our Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors2. Abides by scheduling policy3. Notifies floors or radiology staff if any planned schedule change4. Will be required to work in case of emergencies or when situations arise in the department. Holiday, overtime and / or day, evening shift coverage to help maintain adequate and safe coverage for the department5. Maintains the cleanliness of all work areas, equipment and accessories. Reports all malfunctioning equipment to Bio Med or supervisor.6. Prints CD’s if needed 7. Performs routine office duties, such as answering phones, documents information on patients’ request, Meditech or hospital Ris system’s and PAC’s digital x-ray system8. Notifies transport when patients are ready to be picked up or returned to floors9. May be assigned as an instructor or preceptor10. Should be knowledgeable and skillful in providing care, based on age, physical and psychosocial stature of patient populations; neonate/newborn, pediatric/adolescent, adults and geriatric groups11. Performs other related duties as required, attends staff meetings and in-services12. Duties and hours may change according to the needs of the department or hospital13. Prioritizes and organizes own work load and routine administrative matters to assure completion of tasks within the time frame designated14. Coordinates follow up of all customer service and satisfaction matters as directed15. Informs supervisor if office or clinical supplies are neededEducation Experience Requirements:& ?‚? High school Diploma/GED required. ?‚? Have general knowledge of typing, computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology. ?‚? Recommended; being a highly motivated, positive person with strong communication and organizational skills.
