Job Title : Site Operations Engineer

Job Type : C2C/1099

Experience : 10-15 Years

Location : Austin-Texas, Sunnyvale-California

We are looking for a Site Operations Engineer who will be in charge of managing the day-to-day activities and upkeep of the site infrastructure, guaranteeing peak efficiency, dependability, and safety. A proactive approach to problem-solving and ongoing improvement is necessary for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in site operations, maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with interpreted or compiled languages including Go, Java, C/C++, Perl, Python, and Shell scripting
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of network principles and the basics of Linux/Unix.
  • Ansible, Puppet, Terraform/Terragrunt, CloudFormation: Configuration management and Infrastructure as Code
  • Fundamental knowledge of container orchestration and containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Apache Mesos, as well as tools like Docker or Podman.
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork abilities, capable of collaborating with people in different functional areas.
  • Knowledge of essential security concepts, such as encryption and key exchange protocols and kinds)
  • Basic knowledge of the fault analysis, automation, error budgeting, monitoring, and alerting aspects of SRE.
  • Assist in the setup, upkeep, and support of logging, monitoring, observability, and alerting systems to guarantee their continued availability and high dependability.
  • Contribute and take part in the creation and execution of automated procedures and tools, such as creating Ansible playbooks and creating tools to track various API endpoints.
  • Assist in keeping an eye on important performance indicators and proactively spot areas for efficiency improvements and optimization.
  • Work in tandem with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, pinpoint underlying causes, and assist in putting workable solutions in place to stop recurrence.
  • Assist in writing and evaluating run books, as well as documenting workflows and procedures

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
