We are looking for:

Fresh Talent, Mango Salon is seeking passionate, hardworking, goal-orientated individuals to join our Mango Academy Fresh Talent team The Fresh Talent program is an accelerated educational program designed to give you your "Masters" in hair design. While in this program you will be exposed to advanced learning, skill building, book building, and AVEDA visiting Educators. As a Fresh Talent employee, you will be working as an assistant in our salons supporting our Hair Designers as well as performing hair services on Mango guests at a student level.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED and a Virginia Cosmetology License. To be successful, candidates must demonstrate significant competency in sales, products and service, have developed communications skills and be solutions focused. This position requires working independently and as part of a team, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

This is a Full-Time position with the need for flexible scheduling and will include evenings and weekends. Candidates must have flexibility to work in any of our three locations.

Physical requirements of this position include standing and walking for a minimum of 4 hours, on occasion requires the ability to climb a ladder and balance, utilization of hand and finger dexterity, and lifting/pushing light weights less than 25 pounds. This position also requires frequent reaching with arms/hands, bending, stopping, kneeling, talking, and use of hearing/vision.

• Accountable – learn Mango processes. As a Fresh Talent you will be working Full-Time as an Assistant and on the floor performing services in our salons. Responsibilities include AVEDA rituals and practices, shampooing, color mixing and toners, color pull throughs, maintaining overall cleanliness of Salon, assisting Designer team. Services on the floor will include hair cutting & coloring at a student level. Other tasks assigned by Salon Management team.

• Organized – the ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks proficiently within set time standards. You are responsible for attending classes, completing required course work and practice hours, and fulfilling other requirements per completion of the program.
