Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting good oral health habits from an early age.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform dental cleanings and prophylactic treatments for pediatric patients

- Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices

- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)

- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures

- Maintain accurate patient records and document clinical notes

- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain hygiene standards

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a high standard of care

- Stay updated with the latest developments in dental hygiene and pediatric care

Qualifications:

- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Idaho

- Experience as a Dental Hygienist, preferably in a pediatric setting

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively with children and manage challenging behaviors

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- CPR certification is preferred

- Knowledge of dental software and charting systems
