Job DescriptionJob Description We are looking for a Patient Access Lead to oversee our Front Desk Staff at our Enid location.

The Patient Access Lead is an integral member of the Great Salt Plains Health Center team. They work in cooperation with the Practice Administrators to promote the mission of the health center by assisting with quality relationships between the organization and its patients, payers, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Supervisor Experience Preferred
  2. Proficiency in data entry, Excel, word processing, ten-key calculator and typing required.
  3. Medical Business Office experience required.
  4. Ability to prioritize and assign tasks to staff required.
  5. Ability to organize, communicate and perform detailed functions required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  2. Maintains office staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  3. Maintains office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  4. Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; controlling correspondence; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  5. Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
  6. Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
  7. Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
    1. Overall responsibility for billing and collections including but not limited to:
      1. Coordinate daily functions such as encounter entry, collections, payment posting, responding to client inquiries, and days-ending procedures.
      2. Perform annual encounter form update.
      3. Prepare ad hoc projects for management as necessary.
      4. Assists with clerical duties as necessary.
  8. Overall responsibility for maintaining and keeping patient medical records including but not limited to:
    1. Confidentiality of patient records as required HIPPA Privacy and Security Rules
    2. Handling requests for copies of Medical Records in compliance with HIPPA regulations
    3. Assuring that necessary documentation is kept on filed. Other medical records duties as necessary
  9. Overall responsibility for front office staff including but not limited to:
    1. Patient scheduling
    2. Front-end collections
    3. Patient Financial Case Management
  10. Other duties as assigned by the Practice Administrator.
