We are seeking a skilled Die Shop Controller to manage inventory, oversee procurement, and ensure seamless operations within our die shop.
Purpose of the Position:
The Die Shop Controller will manage inventory and purchase merchandise based on company needs. The role involves maintaining optimal stock levels of quality products, enhancing profitability and operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will be familiar with supply chain procedures and possess strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Inventory Management:
- Purchase and procure raw materials, both locally and from Japan.
- Manage purchase orders, including Asahi items from Japan.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, particularly for die treatment and ion nitriding.
- Coordinate just-in-time production schedules in collaboration with the production control department.

- Demand Forecasting & Production Control:
- Collaborate with the production control department to practice demand forecasting.
- Schedule production based on die usage and project needs.
- Coordinate and update the database for new project itemization.

- Reporting & Auditing:
- Prepare inventory reports for accounting and end-of-month reporting.
- Track shipments, oversee inventory audits, and maintain detailed records of purchases and pricing.

- Safety, SOPs, and Training:
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implement safety measures.
- Lead 5S activities and conduct relevant training sessions.

- **Communication & Coordination:**
- Liaise effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Utilize strong oral and written communication skills to relay information and instructions.

- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
- Detail-oriented with knowledge of turning machines and cutting tools (a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Excel VBA/coding is an advantage.
- Effective decision-making and conflict management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret die prints.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- College degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in inventory management, procurement, or production control is highly desirable.

Special Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently; up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
