Weber Human Services Prevention, in collaboration with Bear River Health Department is looking to hire a Full Time Regional Community-Centered Prevention Services Director (RD). General Job Functions and Key Duties: The Regional Community-Centered Prevention Services Director (RD) will work with Local Authority (LA) Prevention Coordinators (PC) at Bear River Health Department and Weber Human Services and designated coalitions within the LA to establish and enhance community-centered evidence-based prevention (CCEBP) to address risk and protective factors. They will coordinate training and technical assistance on utilizing prevention science through the Strategic Prevention Framework to implement effective CCEBP. They will be skilled at guiding their LAs and coalitions with assessments, utilizing other data, and evaluation, as well as evidence-based programs, processes, and policies. The RD will support the coalitions in building their capacity to implement CCEBP, including providing technical assistance on strengthening partnerships within their geographical areas, and growing and sustaining their local coalition efforts. While some work may be completed remotely, regular in-person support to the LA is expected.

Key Job duties:
1. Coordinate prevention efforts and training between Local Authority (LA) regions
2. Participate on planning committees for statewide prevention summits, conferences, and trainings
3. Act proactively and consistently to promote and acquire a highly-efficient and coordinated regional, county, and local-level prevention effort
4. Support the coalitions in building their capacity to grow and sustain through in-person and virtual training and resource sharing
5. Assist with identifying funding sources and completing grant applications
6. Travel to Bear River (Box Elder, Cache, Rich) and Weber/Morgan counties regularly

Enhance Quality of Work Within Assigned Region:
-Meet with LA Directors/Coordinators and coalition coordinators regularly to assess Technical Assistance and other needs in building their capacity to coordinate prevention efforts
-Share expertise in various prevention frameworks including CTC, CADCA Coalition Model, Strategic Prevention Framework, and/or Promise Model
-Guide and support assigned region in all areas of building prevention capacity and community mobilization
-Coordinate in-person meetings and trainings as needed, being efficient with necessary travel

Maintain High Professional Standards:
-Coordinate prevention trainings as needed and requested, including but not limited to SAPST, CTC Key Leader Orientations, CTC Training of Facilitators, Motivational Interviewing, Substance Education Presentations, etc.
-Attend in-state and out-of-state prevention conferences and trainings to enhance professional development and network with prevention professionals across the state and nation
-Provide exceptional internal and external communications including written electronic correspondence, verbal discussion, mentoring, and presentations as needed.

Required: 3-7 years' experience in primary prevention field including coalition implementation and coordination. Expert knowledge of Strategic Prevention Framework model and Risk and Protective Factors model. SAPST Trained and certified. Expert knowledge of coalition models: Communities That Care, CADCA, and Prosper. Training and certification in evidence-based prevention programs.
