Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryThe Damage Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing and processing damage cases for the company and will be detail oriented and able to accomplish work in a designated time frame. The Damage Coordinator will report to the Damage Team Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities· A general understanding of how to read an estimate. This could come in the form of automotive experience, body shop experience, or even personal experience with body shops. The candidate does not need to be an expert, as training will be provided. These are the primary responsibilities of this position· Handle approvals directly with vendors· Work directly with repair shops on our service cases· Review and create workshop orders· Self-starter. Given the number of estimates that come in, all candidates need to be self-motivated and eager to complete all tasks in a timely manner · Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills· Basic understanding of body shop and vehicle reconditioning and repair · Written skills to compose clear, succinct descriptions when posting files and drafting correspondence · Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills · Capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment along with organization under expected timelines · Effective and persuasive communications skills · Team player who works well with all internal departments · Detail oriented with strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills · Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook · Motivated self-starter with the ability to perform the above duties with little supervision
Education and/or Experience· High School diploma or equivalent experience· 2-4 years of related customer service experience; 1 or more years’ claims handling experience, or equivalent training preferred.· Basic understanding of body shop and vehicle reconditioning and repair.· Written skills to compose clear, succinct descriptions when posting files and drafting correspondence.· Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills.· Capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.· Effective and persuasive communications skills.· Must be a team player.
