Preschool Teacher

Hannah's Home of South Florida, Inc. (HHSF) is looking for a Preschool Teacher for our onsite licensed childcare center. HHSF assists homeless, pregnant women (aged 18-30) by helping them have healthy pregnancies, birth health babies, overcome hardships, and learn to live and flourish independently. Our program provides housing, case management, supportive community, education, career preparation, parenting and life skills, and spiritual development. Residents are eligible to stay until their babies are two years old. HHSF's childcare center serves the residents' children only, and the number of children depends on the number of moms in our home. In the next few years the campus is expanding from housing eight residents to 32.

Preschool Teacher duties center on the residents' babies' healthy development. HHSF is currently upgrading its services to offer School Readiness, and the Preschool Teacher will join the team at a pivotal point as the childcare center elevates to an early learning focus and curriculum. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in early childhood development or related field, and experience in a child care center.

The childcare center operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and is staffed by volunteers. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily activities to ensure goals are being met
• Supervising volunteer staff
• Maintaining safety of children and volunteers
• Educating volunteers and mothers on children's development
• Related administrative responsibilities.

Specific skills needed are:

• Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
• Familiarity with scheduling software (for volunteers)
