Esta posición sirve como Asistente de Maestro(a) para un salón de clase de Head Start. El/La asistente de maestro(a) comparte la responsabilidad de un salón de clase de Head Start de los niños(as) de 2 años 10 meses a 5 años de edad. El o Ella trabaja en colaboración con el/la maestro(a), miembros de la familia y otros miembros del personal para lograr resultados positivos para los niños(as) de todas las capacidades. 

Responsabilidades:

  • El papel del ayudante delmaestro(a)abarca las prácticas efectivas en el siguiente (como se indica en nuestra Rúbrica de éxito de Asistente de Maestro/a: a) CLASS ™ interacciones maestros(as) y niños(as), b)Ambiente de aprendizaje,c) Currículo, d)Evaluación del niño(a), e) Cubrir todas las necesidades de los niños(as), f)Trabajar con familias, g) Desarrollo profesional y colaboración 

  • Utiliza el conocimiento de los principios de crecimiento y desarrollo del niño(a) para trabajar con niños(as) y comunicarse con los grupos colaboradores internos y externos. 

  • Implementar un currículo de aprendizaje y ambiente centrado en el niño(a), que fomente la interacción social positiva, la participación activa en el aprendizaje, y la auto-motivación, para promover el desarrollo en todos los dominios para los niños(as) de todas las capacidades. 

  • Aborda los comportamientos desafiantes mediante la observación, para determinar las posibles causas del comportamiento, la aplicación de medidas preventivas, la enseñanza de nuevas habilidades sociales y de comunicación del niño(a) y la asociación con las familias para apoyar al niño(a) en casa. 

  • Utilizar las observaciones de los niños y las notas anecdóticas para documentar el progreso de los niños(as)s e individualizar el currículo. 

  • Crea asociaciones con las familias para establecer patrones de interacción positivas en el programa, la escuela y el hogar. 

Requisitos:

  • Mínimo, una credencial de CDA, o un certificado otorgado por el estado que cumpla o exceda los requisitos para una credencial de CDA, estar inscritos en un programa que conduzca a un título de asociado o licenciado o bien estén inscritos en un programa de certificación de CDA para completarlo durante el plazo de los primeros dos años de haber sido contratados. 

  • Se requiere certificado de salud y verificación de antecedentes para este puesto.
