We are currently searching for an experienced Quality Technician who will report directly to the Operations Manager. As the Quality Inspector, you will uphold the safety regulations of our company and ensure that the production process for all our products meets or exceeds quality expectations.

The chosen candidate will perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, recommend improvements to the production process, and be the voice of the quality initiative in the shop. To excel in this role, applicants should demonstrate great attention to detail with excellent technical and math abilities.

Responsibilities:

· Perform prescribed product inspections, accurately, comprehensively, efficiently, and promptly.

· Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.

· Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, & compare the final product to the specifications.

· Keep accurate and up-to-date records of inspections and inspection outcomes. Ensure records are properly filed according to MBI quality procedures. Ensure the Quality Management System information and reports are accurate and up to date.

· Understand weld quality requirements and ensure compliance.

· Red Tag all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.

· Assist in maintaining a fully functional Non-Conformance Report system.

· Maintain welder continuity log to ensure welder certifications.

· Understand Weld Procedure Specifications and assist leadership to ensure operational compliance.

· Work with management to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.

· Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.

· Assist in updating and maintaining all aspects of safety in the shop.

· Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

· A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Quality Control.

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in custom metal fabrication.

· Good math and technical skills.

· Highly skilled with proper and accurate use of measurement devices.

· Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.

· Experience working within an organization’s certified Quality Management System (QMS) is strongly preferred.
