Island Home Care administers home and community-based care services through various waiver programs for individuals who are elderly or have disabilities. The Timekeeper oversees aspects of labor & contract documentation to ensure compliance with internal and/or state mandates and contracts. This requires reconciling punches with labor allowances and caregiving progress notes. All of the pieces of the timekeeping puzzle must match up in order to reconcile billing, and any missing pieces of the puzzle must be found

**This position is a part time, administrative role. The schedule would be Monday-Wednesday from 9am-4pm.**

REGION 2: Ascension, East/West Baton Rouge, East/West Feliciana, Iberville, & Pointe Coupee

Timekeeping:

  • Tracks missed punches and requests missing documentation as needed.
  • Compares timecards to progress notes to ensure accuracy.
  • Compares times between caregivers to rectify overlapping times.
  • Adheres to current timekeeping procedures and policies as outlined by the Company.
  • Processes time with Time Coordinator's oversight
  • Continually communicates missing documentation to employees until received, involving the Field Manager when employees aren't reachable or responsive.

  • Maintains confidentiality and respect for HIPAA compliance

Administrative Compliance:

  • Files and maintains all Progress Notes and Time Cards according to the timekeeping process
  • Works with payroll department to ensure accuracy and is available to correct any errors during processing
  • Meets time card deadlines implemented by billing supervisor

Measurements of Performance:

  • Timeliness; timecards are not delinquent or incomplete for payroll runs
  • Accuracy; all documentation is correct and nothing is missing
  • Quality; billing is reconciled, and income is not lost
  • Cooperation; ability to coordinate timekeeping with a teamwork mentality
  • Communication; effective coordination of all aspects of the job
  • Conscientiousness; ability to complete duties with minimal oversight
  • Availability and sense of urgency when responding to timekeeping errors
  • Professionalism; ability to handle conflict with tact and grace
