Director of Nursing

As the Director of Nursing, you will supervise the nursing team to oversee medication services, admissions, and labs. You will ensure there is always nursing coverage to monitor and care for patients during their stay.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse
  • Nursing Degree with Two (2) years college plus two (2) years of direct experience or high school diploma and five (5) years of experience working with clients and families.
  • Management Experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the nursing team, including medication services, admissions, and lab services.
  • Develop schedules for nursing team and provide coverage when needed to fill gaps to ensure all shifts are covered within the facility.
  • Provide oversight of inventory, ordering, receiving and accountability of medication / inventory control in conjunction with the other pharmacy personnel as required by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) and state regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure the Diversion Control Plan is in place and is always enforced within the facility.
  • Consult in the development of the policies and procedures for medication administration or assistance with self-administration of medication or both.
  • Administer / dispense medication under the direction of the physician.
  • Conduct annual evaluations of nursing staff
  • Maintain compliance with regulations governing alcohol and other drug entities of accrediting bodies by monitoring operations and initiating change where required
  • Other duties as needed
