JOB SUMMARY
Order Management Specialists will interact with customers by addressing inquiries, entering customer orders, placing, and tracking material orders and resolving complaints to find workable solutions.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Interacts with Allied team members, customers and vendors via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
· Maintains a positive, empathic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
· Enters sales orders and purchase orders for new or additional products or services.
· Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the specialist knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
· Tracks outstanding purchase order items to ensure on-time deliveries.
· At the customer request, expedites existing sales orders.
· Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers' problems and concerns.
· Provides support for the Account Managers.
· Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. Some additional duties may include packing, shipping, and receiving materials.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
· 3 years of Proven work experience as an Order Entry Specialist or similar role
· Excellent customer service communication skills including active listening.
· Knowledge of inventory management
· Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
· Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
· Actively seeks information to understand customer circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.
· Acts independently and on own initiative.
· Uses understanding of customer needs to initiate solutions.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Ability to effectively present information in a clear and organized manner, and respond professionally and appropriately to questions of managers, reps, and customers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
· Regularly repeat the same movements when entering data.
