Job Purpose:

The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical operations of Dixon Social Interactive Services. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional patient care, maintains high standards of clinical practice, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the clinical team.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Clinical Leadership:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all clinical services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among clinical staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.

2. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of clinical care provided, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

3. Clinical Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations, including patient flow, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize patient care delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, laboratory) to coordinate integrated patient care services.
  • Oversee the authorizations department and intake process.

4. Staff Development and Training:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise clinical staff, ensuring competency and compliance with clinical protocols and standards.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance staff performance and career growth.

5. Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the clinical department budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient resource utilization.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation while maintaining high standards of patient care.

6. Clinical Research and Innovation:

  • Promote and support clinical research initiatives and evidence-based practices within the organization.
  • Stay updated on advancements in clinical practice and healthcare technology, recommending innovations to improve patient care outcomes.

7. Patient and Family Engagement:

  • Ensure effective communication and engagement with patients, families, and caregivers to address their needs and concerns.
  • Implement patient-centered care initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and overall experience.

8. Public Relations:

  • Engage in community involvement and board membership to promote Dixon Social Interactive Services' initiatives and build lasting relationships.



Qualifications and Experience:

  • LCAS, LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT (Dually credentialed)
  • Board certification in a specialty relevant to the healthcare setting (e.g., Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery)
  • Proven experience in clinical leadership and management roles within a healthcare organization
  • Strong knowledge of North Carolina mental healthcare regulations, standards of practice, and patient safety principles
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive innovation, and improve clinical outcomes
  • Experience in strategic planning, budget management, and performance improvement methodologies


Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare informatics
  • Certification in CADC


Working Conditions:

The Clinical Director role typically involves working in a mental health facility environment, with regular office hours and occasional evening or weekend availability. Travel may be required to attend meetings, conferences, or visit satellite locations.
