Overview: Teaching at Westwood Children's School

Are you interested in joining a team of early childhood teachers and working in an environment that nurtures and challenges children to reach their maximum potential? The Westwood Children’s School offers a quality program, which recognizes the holistic development of young children and therefore promotes their cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth. In doing so, the Westwood Children's School provides a stimulating environment with positive, nurturing care and a well-developed curriculum. The School provides a variety of experiences and activities designed to encourage children to learn about themselves, their friends, and their surroundings. This is done in small and large group experiences, quiet times and active play, as well as indoor and outdoor activities. 

Position Description:

  • 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 
  • Year-round position
  • Work as part of a teaching team, alongside other qualified infant staff
  • We staff one over the state required ratios in each of our classrooms

Requirements:

  • EEC qualified infant/toddler teacher
  • Infant teaching experience

Preferred:

  • Early Childhood Education Degree
  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in related field
