Lowboy Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials and heavy equipment oversized & overweight loads from jobsite to jobsite in a safe efficient and timely manner.
• Must be able to operate most general construction equipment and haul truck.
• Must have vast knowledge of all State and Federal DOT rules and regulations and maintain DOT logs.
• Before and after trips, drivers must inspect trucks and equipment, including fuel, oil, tires, lights, and water levels.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a lowboy operator.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must possess a valid class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Must be able to show clear understanding of equipment safety.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Be able to work well with others.
• Work well with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work outside and in a variety of temperature and weather conditions.
• Work in a safety conscious environment
• Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.
• Must be physically able to access equipment either by kneeling, stooping, bending, constant climbing, and squatting.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
