Occupational Therapy Asst Pool

This is a non-benefited, per diem Level I Occupational Therapy Assistant position, with a minimum work commitment of 16-hours per month, with 8 of those being on the weekend and 8 hours on a weekday. The ideal person for this position would have occassional availability to assist with weekday coverage for vacations of full and part-time staff. The per diem level I rate is $42. 50ph.

Provide occupational therapy treatment and patient care according to hospital, state and federal regulations and professional guidelines.
Perform occupational therapy treatment tasks as delegated and supervised by occupational therapists.
Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to ensure that patient, staff and hospital needs are met.
Credentials:
Current CA state licensure or certification rtequired.
CPR certification preferred, unless otherwise required by hospital policy.required. (American Heart Association approved)
Successful completion of an associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program preferred.
Effective communication skills for working with patients, families and caregivers required.
Demonstrated competency in occupational treatment essential.
