Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a healthcare setting. Must have strong knowledge of administrative processes, and have experience in an office setting, preferably healthcare. Strong communication skills with acumen for interacting with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Must have an active LPN license in good standing.

The Administrative LPN supports the Business Development efforts by performing a broad spectrum of tasks. This position will initiate and facilitate projects to improve process and accuracy for departmental operations. This person will liaise with physicians and other internal and external stakeholders in departmental efforts with an emphasis on Criteria Sheet creation and referral tracking.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  1. Manage the Criteria Sheet process from start to finish. Assisting staff and physicians with criteria sheet creation, process training and document completion. This includes continually assessing the process and initiating improvement when needed.
  2. Assists Intake team with daily operations including phone calls, referral tracking and general office duties.
  3. Assists with Informational Visits and consent completion.
  4. Provides education, training, and support to the hospice patient/family as indicated.
  5. Supports and assists the Marketing Department in community events when needed.
  6. Supports the compliance aspect of the Business Development department by collecting data, assisting with audits and compiling data.
  7. Supports the departmental Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool by running reports, compiling data for teammates and/or presentations and training staff on utilization etc.
  8. Practices within the guidelines of the appropriate Boards of Nursing.
  9. Attends agency staff meetings, department staff meetings, educational offerings, and other offered hospice events.
  10. Assists other departments with a spirit of team work and cooperativeness.
  11. Maintain the integrity of all forms of patient information, including but not limited to, electronic personal health information and assure that there are no attempts to access more than the minimum necessary information to complete his/her job.
  12. May function as Liaison support for Liaison team.
  13. Be flexible, organized and work effectively and professionally under stress.
  14. Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and patience when interacting with patients, families, co-workers, and members of the public.
  15. Represents Circle of Life to the community in a positive manner.
  16. Demonstrates flexibility, versatility and a positive attitude in integrating additional duties.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.
